The Jockey Club has named Helen Sherlock as its new top human resources executive, commencing on May 17th.
Sherlock joins from Marks & Spencer, where she has served as the head of human resources since 2018. She has also held top HR positions at BT, ESPN, and ITN.
Sherlock stated, “I am thrilled to be joining The Jockey Club during this exciting period. The organization has a long and distinguished history, and the dedication of its workforce and the vision of Niven and the management team present us with a fantastic opportunity.”
The Jockey Club CEO Niven Trussedale mentioned that Sherlock will play a crucial role in attracting and training new talent.
“I am delighted to welcome Helen to our team,” said Trussedale. “She will be a key player in driving our talent strategy in the years ahead, as we continue to innovate, attract and retain talent, and support the well-being and development of colleagues throughout The Jockey Club.”
Sherlock’s appointment follows the announcement last month of three new senior business appointments at The Jockey Club.
Charles Boss will be joining the firm in May as the Chief Commercial Officer. Alexandra Goldschmidt will be the new Director of Partnerships, and Hannah Grosvenor will be the National Sales Director.
