888 Poker, the online poker division of 888 Holdings, gave back a record $287,292 to players in 2022 from game fairness reviews, as part of its fair play policy.

888 Poker stated that a total of $287,292 (£239,300/€269,998) was given back from accounts that violated its fair play policy.
A total of 6,801 players received reimbursements, averaging $42 per player, a 32% increase from the number of detections reported in 2021.
888 Poker stated that bots and real-time assistants (RTAs) – which utilize software programming to create an unfair advantage against real players – remain a common issue in online poker, and it has increased its investment in its own detection capabilities to address these issues on its network.
The operator also stated it has found players working together with each other to gain an unfair advantage.
“At 888 Poker, we take game fairness very seriously,” said Matan Krakower, Head of Poker Product at 888 Poker. “This year, thanks to our continued investment in technology, player cooperation, and the hard work of our team, we have increased our detection rate of bot accounts, RTAs and collusion, giving back nearly $290,000 to players.
