The Crown Resorts organization has designated Bruce Carter as a fresh autonomous board member. Carter contributes extensive expertise, having been engaged in both governmental and commercial realms for more than four decades. His prior role was as the Vice Chair of SkyCity Entertainment Group, where he supervised the enlargement of Adelaide’s SkyCity facility. At present, he holds the Chair position at both ASC (the Australian Submarine Corporation) and Escala Partners. His notable credentials also encompass directorships at Queensland Bank and Insurance Australia Group.
Helen Coonan, Crown’s Chief Executive, voiced her assurance in Carter, affirming that he “provides Crown’s Board an optimal mix of business, management, and gaming industry knowledge.” She stressed the weight of Carter’s appointment, highlighting his esteemed standing within Australian corporate and governmental spheres. The statement also verified that Professor John Horvath will retire from the Crown committee, starting April 14, 2021. Ms. Coonan expressed gratitude to Professor Horvath for his extensive period dedicated to Crown, particularly his tenure as the first Chair of the Responsible Gaming Council.
