A gaming software creator, BGaming, has introduced a novel image condensation method capable of decreasing the data volume of its games by as much as 55%. This translates to quicker access times for users, particularly those grappling with sluggish internet connections or employing virtual private networks.
This innovation functions by condensing the graphical components of a game, reducing file dimensions without sacrificing perceptible visual fidelity. The most appealing aspect? It’s fully automated, eliminating the need for manual modifications.
Typically, BGaming has successfully diminished file sizes from 16.4MB to 7.3MB. In certain instances, they’ve even achieved reductions exceeding 50%! The firm asserts that 70% of their games now weigh in at under 10MB, all while upholding their elevated visual benchmarks.
The Head of Frontend at BGaming, Yury Kuvetski, emphasized the challenge of attaining such compression without compromising quality, noting that readily available solutions proved inadequate. This new algorithm, however, appears to be a revolutionary development for both the company and its user base.
Our games now boast quicker loading times, and we’re constantly striving to elevate the gameplay experience,” remarked Alexander Novitski, who oversees Game Providers at N1 Partners. “We recognize significant opportunities within Africa and Latin America, particularly given their economic expansion and the immense passion for online gaming in these regions. Naturally, obstacles exist. For instance, in Nigeria, it’s crucial to ensure games are optimized for swift loading on internet connections with lower bandwidth.”
