The 1X2 Network has teamed up with the Skywind Group to introduce its gaming portfolio to the Romanian market. This collaboration will see Skywind integrate 1X2 Network’s wide selection of games onto its platform.
Gamers in Romania will now have access to popular options like Plinko Go, Smoking Hot Fruits, and Maverick on platforms such as princesscasino.ro, cashpot.ro, and luck.com.ro.
This alliance is one of several that Skywind has formed to bolster its presence in Romania. The nation is emerging as an increasingly appealing market for gaming entities, with other providers like Thunderkick also expanding their operations there.
This development is evident in a series of recent collaborations between operators and providers in Romania. As an illustration, Octoplay joined forces with Superbet in December, and BGaming partnered with WinBet in early January. Furthermore, Imagine Live recently unveiled intentions to establish a new live casino studio in Bucharest.
Ana-Maria Baciu, a legal expert specializing in intellectual property and a participant in the Romanian National Association of IP Attorneys, elucidated that Romania has witnessed substantial expansion in its gaming sector. From 2016 onward, the nation has bestowed roughly 475 Class 2 permits to diverse entities, with a considerable portion allocated to software and game developers. This trajectory persisted in 2023, with approximately 25 fresh licenses granted. Despite recent modifications to licensing costs, the market maintains its robustness.
Commenting on the joint effort, Christopher Reed, an Account Executive at 1X2 Network, conveyed his eagerness, affirming that uniting with Skywind Group unlocks access to some of the most sought-after digital platforms within Romania. He underscored Skywind Group’s standing for cooperating with leading creators and their enthusiasm in incorporating 1X2 Network’s groundbreaking slots and games into their offerings. Reed emphasized Romania’s significance as a pivotal market for 1X2 Network since securing their Romanian permit in 2022 and perceives this alliance as a substantial stride in augmenting their footprint within the territory.
